Kerrville Folk Festival Ukulele School—Kerrville, TX
June 1 - June 3
Event website: https://www.kerrvillefolkfestival.org/ukulele-workshop
The Kerrville Folk Festival is the longest continuously running music festival in North America and is a Mecca in the songwriting community. For 18 straight days and nights, the Festival offers concerts and activities for all ages that are focused on nurturing and developing artistic expression, especially the art of songwriting.
I’ll join Kevin Carroll and Bernice Lewis at the Festival’s 2020 Ukulele School. During this 3-day course, small group sessions will cover the basics to the fine points and will allow students time with each faculty member. The school will be held Monday, June 1 thru Wednesday June 3, from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. each day.
Registration is $285 through March 31, 2020. Pre-paid reservations are required, prices increase to $325 after March 31. Fee includes a KFF tote bag, admission to the festival and campground (including Sundown Concerts and tent camping), three days of ukulele classes and lunches on class days.
Players of all levels are welcome. Please bring your ukulele/accessories, a notebook and a portable recording device (if you have one).
